The Daily Garriga Is Back!

American Flag

by Joshua on September 10, 2011

It’s been a tough last couple of weeks rebuilding the blog back to its old self. Getting hacked is never easy. Getting hacked by someone you know and trust is the absolute worst. Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t back down when threatened or bullied. There was no way I wasn’t going to rebuild this blog. There was no way I wasn’t going to restore it to its original greatness. In fact, I will rebuild my blog a thousand times if that’s what it takes to beat the hackers!

Maybe I’m just in the 9/11 spirit, but the eve of the tenth anniversary of 9/11 seems like an amazing time to reintroduce a blog that I rebuilt after it was destroyed by an individual who was intent on intimidating me.

In this case, the bully/hacker was a woman I had been dating. She wanted to punish me by sabotaging my blog and deleting all of my files. Shame on me for putting myself in that position. It’s a lesson I won’t soon forget. I will never again date a woman who is more interested in being my business partner than in being my friend. Although I may always love hard, I now know that when my love is not properly returned it’s time to get up and get out.

Taking down my blog was a pretty sleazy move, even for her. Yeah, she’s ruthless alright. But I’ve dealt with plenty of ruthless and cutthroat characters in my life and I’m still standing, still proud, and still smiling. I’ve got a lot to look forward to and I plan to document my journey on the pages of this blog. I cannot wait to get started!

Thanks to everyone who showed me love and support during the past weeks. You know who you are! It seems as though whenever I’m down, it’s the same old-reliables who always find it in them to help me back up. I love you for that!

I also want to thank my family who has been my rock my entire life. Where would I be without La Tropa! And a big shout out to my big sister Maria who was able to recover some of my posts when I thought they were gone forever.

I’m going to be reposting some of my most popular work here. To date I’ve had readers from 49 states and 94 countries. I figure if my stories are worth reading to that diverse an audience, they must be worth reposting. So look out for those. And look out for a whole lot of new content that will be coming your way. Please let me know if you find any problems with the blog or if you have any suggestions for improvements. Thanks again for your love, encouragement, and support.

I’m back!

So proud! Defeat does not run through our veins! Unity and endurance is the key fabric woven by our family!

Writers must keep on writing. Don’t let anyone silence you. Stay strong. You have so much to share with the world.
